In the heart of the Moreno Highlands, this storybook Silver Lake home had suffered from years of neglect. KM saw through the peeling paint, glaring 1980s renovations, and deferred maintenance (to put it gently) to not just restore its original spirit, but infuse it with a classically chic sensibility. The kitchen benefitted from strategic adjustments, adding an island and eliminating the breakfast nook to enhance space and flow. KM restored the original woodwork and windows, and updated the kitchen and bathrooms with a blend of historic and modern finishes that nod to the home’s history and original details. Arabescato marble, plaster and handmade tiles play to the drama of the soaring ceilings and elegance of the home. KM added a chic pool and brought in Terremoto to design a native garden wrapping the house and pool.
